Bernadette M. Groves the new script editor for Pendant Productions anthology show Seminar, is a happy, fun loving southern gal with a lust for life and love of the dramatic. From an early age Bernadette knew she wanted to be in the entertainment business. She has worked on various theatre shows as an actress, costume technician, lighting person, set designer and much more. Bernadette graduated Cum Loude from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Media Arts and a minor in Anthropology. Bernadette is currently in graduate school seeking her Masters of Fine Art degree in the Motion Picture and Television program at the Academy of Art University in San Francsisco, where she is focusing on screenwriting.
In her film career thus far Bernadette has written and directed a few short pieces which can be seen on youtube. She has also worked as the Properties Assistant on the feature film, The Four Children of Tander Welch (2008) and is currently the Production Manager on another feature film called Panic, due to be released in 2011. Bernadette is also working with a certain role play game company, writing a feature film for them (that she really can't discuss due to signing a Non Disclosure Agreement) as well as working on a feature zombie script to be filmed in TX with any luck early next year. These are not the only films she will be working on, she is also working on writing two feature films for her thesis as well as two short films, which will be filmed by fellow students.
While Bernadette's thesis is very important to her, so is her work with Pendant Audio. In her short time with Pendant (less than a year at this point I think.) Bernadette has performed in several Pendant shows starting with her first role as Woman in Seminar Episode 32's short story Moment, Bernadette now plays steady roles in Star Wars Blue Harvest as Solara Deem and as a short stint as a Gungan child. Bernadette also plays Sekmet in the upcoming Season 2 of Genesis Avalon and Tony's sister, Cassandra in the Kingery season 4 as well as a cameo as a dispatcher in 3x12.
Bernadette has done many fun smaller roles in various productions including but not limited to Wonder Woman Champion of Themyscira Episodes 50 and 51. Catwoman Queen of Thieves Episode 18, Batman the Ace of Detectives Episode 52 and The Line Episode 7. Bernadette has also been in several other Seminar shows including Episodes 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 she hopes to continue working often in Pendants anthology show.
Seminar is no longer just a show that Bernadette loves to perform in. Bernadette has recently become the script editor for Seminar. A position she takes seriously and loves. In short Bernadette's experience with Pendant and all of the people involved has been nothing short of wonderful, she looks forward to each new script as a challenge and hopes that over the summer perhaps she can even pitch a show to Pendant.
