"Context is everything. Subtext is awesome. Hypertext is geeky. Sex-text is hot." Chris Brittain is 28 years old and works in finance. Before that makes you reach for the 'back' button, it should be pointed out that he tries to be a 'good' finance person and would like to make it clear that he is in no way responsible for the current economic crisis. Probably... He is a geek in every sense of the word with an encyclopaedic knowledge of most Star Trek episodes, often being more willing to spend money on comics than food and calling his iPod "TARDIS". He lives in London in the UK and tries to divide his spare time between writing, directing, reading, watching movies and TV, eating, sleeping, enjoying life with his wonderful wife Bex and occasionally talking to himself. In his flat, you can find at least twenty DVDs he bought because 'they looked cool' and has never watched, all of Grant Morrison's Final Crisis (which he wishes he had never started collecting - sorry Grant) and two very cute three-legged cats called Sen and Arthur. He studied politics at university, attempted a law course that was so boring he's still recovering from the semi-narcoleptic state it left him in and started his current job because whilst working in a cinema full time sounds cool, there are only so many tickets you can sell for 'Transformers 2: Revenge of the Racist' before you want to wrap the viewers in celluloid, drop a match on them and watch them burn while laughing maniacally... Like nearly all people in their twenties with a full time job, he is working on a novel. Alongside this, he has completed a couple of issues of two online comics, is writing a musical in his head and is constantly thinking about getting a tattoo (if he ever starts running again and gets rid of his fat ass). He loves rock music although is constantly reminded by his friends to get his ears out the eighties and expand his tastes beyond Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and Meat Loaf. In his defence he has more recently embraced My Chemical Romance, Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga and Amanda Palmer (until discovering she was an ablelist douche). At weekends, he can often be found either at home writing or in the pub with a nice cold pint of cider. Politics is an absolute passion, usually from the perspective of being an angry socialist watching the world fall into the hands of evil capitalist bastards. He is an activist for both gender and queer political groups and if you ask him, will talk about both, in detail, for a long, long, long time. He tries REALLY hard to immediately admit when he's wrong and not become a cliched defensive man. He fails at this often and is sorry! He has played numerous roles across Pendant, all with a remarkably unchanging English accent. He stepped down from directing "Star Trek: Defiant" in 2009 after two and a half wonderful years in order to focus on his original and allegedly controversial drama, "The Line" which is now steaming towards the end of it's second season. His favourite word used to be "Bollocks" but now he's moved from PG-13 to R rated shows, it's definitely "Fuck". Chris discovered Pendant Productions completely by accident whilst searching for clues and spoilers regarding the Infinite Crisis DC Comics Crossover. He's very happy that he did because he'd be causing all sorts of trouble on street corners otherwise. If you want to find him on the internet, he frequents Facebook quite a bit and is also available under TheLineBoy and TheLineLive on Twitter. If you have any comments, criticisms, questions or if you just want to say hello he can be reached at 123cjpb@gmail.com pretty much 24/7. Listen to Chris' interview in This Week In Pendant!
Chris is the voice of Thomas Galen in "Umket Industries Presents: The Dixie Stenberg and Brassy Battalion Adventure Theater", The Penguin in "Batman: The Ace of Detectives", the Mysterious Man (Glorious Godfrey) in "Supergirl: Lost Daughter of Krypton", Snug in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Jason in "Once Upon a Time in Vegas", Kit Barton in "Star Trek: Defiant", Obsidian in "Genesis Avalon" and Inspector Scott Jackson in "Catwoman: Queen of Thieves".
