ABOUT
"INSOLITUS":
"Insolitus"
is a ten-episode crossover story incorporating "Superman: The
Last Son of Krypton," "Batman: The Ace of Detectives",
"Wonder Woman: Champion of Themyscira," "Supergirl:
Lost Daughter of Krypton" and "Catwoman: Queen of Thieves".
After
the back-to-back-to-back heavy-hitting of "Imperium",
"Vindicatum" and "Ex Tempus", we were nearing
a point of crossover exhaustion. They're so much more work than
normal, and doing them all in relatively short order had gotten
us nearly burnt out on them.
But
the audience enjoys them so much that I didn't want to stop them
entirely, so the solution was to extend the seasons of our Earth-P
shows by a few episodes, to allow us more of a break, and to do
a crossover that was drastically unlike what had come before. You
could say the same about "Ex Tempus", of course, but "Insolitus"
differs in entirely new ways. It was entirely refreshing to work
on, and will hopefully be entirely refreshing to listen to.
And
we sincerely hope you enjoy it, because the next Earth-P seasons
will be even longer, so that by the time the fifth crossover
rolls around it will hopefully seem like something of a novel concept
again, or at least an old friend you haven't seen in quite a long
time.
