Photos from the fourth Pendant picnic!

On May 29, 2010, Pendant Productions held the fourth annual Pendant Picnic at McCambridge Park in Burbank, California! There were hours of fun in the sun, Hollywood, In-N-Out on Sunset Blvd., the "Frenemy of the State" launch signing with Christina Weir, Nunzio DeFilippis and Rashida Jones and the Griffith Observatory!

Sunday involved an incredibly cold and windy trip to the Santa Monica Pier and hours and hours of gabbing, blabbing and talking Pendant. A finer weekend there never was!

See the photos below!

If you attended the picnic and would like copies of these at ultra-high resolution for getting prints, just let me know. Especially you parents out there! :)

Click the thumbnails for larger photos (of varying largeosity).

Adam Lebin is not responsible for the graffiti behind him.
OR IS HE? That smile makes me wonder.

Do not be fooled by the apparent charm of Susan Bridges, for she is evil.
Just ask her.

Teresa Keller is smiling only because she didn't know she'd soon be directing AND editing. Of course neither did I, but that's beside the point.

As you can see, Clark thinks there's nothing more fun than the Pendant Picnic...

See, ADAM knows how to get halfway out of a photo. Take lessons, Teresa! Or just be like Anna Rodriguez and smile and SIT STILL DAMN IT.

Dragonblink was so entertained she didn't even have to bring a separate hobby with to the picnic for a different hobby.

Jared Page and I did not plan this, I swear. I didn't even know he owned the exact same shirt!

These two, on the other hand, went out of their way to make this happen. Nerd alert!
(yes yes, pot & kettle, I know)

Mark Allen Jr. joined us for the most important part of the day... the ritual gorging
on In-N-Out.

Susan with our good friends Christina Weir and Nunzio DeFilippis at the signing for the release of "Frenemy of the State" issue 1. Check it out!
Also Rashida Jones... vampire? There's her chair on the left, but she's not in the photo. HMM.

Proof that we were in Hollywood. At night. So now you know I wasn't lying. Because you totally thought I was. Because I make crap up like that. Because I'm insecure.

Just a portion of the expanse that is Los Angeles as seen from atop the mountains at the Griffith Observatory.

Pendulums in front of a (Focault) pendulum... which you can't really see, but is TOTALLY there. Really.

Look ya'll, it's the Pacific Ocean.

Rene Christine Jones protects her daughter Tasha from the bitter cold at the Santa Monica Pier. It was frigid I tell you!

If little Dixie is half as good with the controls as Dixie is...

Max will tell you... bumper cars are serious business.

They are bumper cars! Look how they... bump.

I think perhaps Jack would like me to stop following him with a camera.

Three times the concentration!

I hear the cars are more fun if you actually bump them, but what do I know.

The disparity in facial expressions between Max and Clark is hysterical.

See, it was really cold (like I said) so Susan bought a hat. I hear some folks thought it was entirely silly.

Coffee makes everything better.

I tried to be a spy, but they caught me... AND TERESA THREW UP THE HORNS!

Aha! I AM a spy, I tell you!

I am, I am!

This is really the only indication of the extreme wind in the photos we had. Poor Teri!

That guy's a dweeb.

This is a MUCH better wave to the camera.

And now, no Pendant Picnic will be complete without official Pendant BAJA Doritos. Because everything's better (and Mexican) with BAJA.
And they're on Susan's ridiculo-hat, no less!
